1. General Truce - $21

Positives:
- Will push forward and may be hard to catch.
- Did well last start against one of the favourites.
- Has won a group race before.

Negatives:
- May get into a speed battle up front.
- Needs to get across from the barrier.
- Andrew Mallyon

Rizzo Says:
General Truce is a rough place chance. If he can get a good run up front with no a lot of pressure it will be very hard to run down.

2. Star Witness - $8

Positives:
- Unbeaten.
- Did well last start with not much going right for it.
- Needs a good run into the straight.

Negatives:
- Can it win three in a row?
- May have already peaked.
- Will have to settle towards the back.

Rizzo Says:
Don't think it will play a major part in this race.

3. Beneteau - $3

Positives:
- Has been sensational so far.
- Ran on very strongly last start.
- Has been winning with ease.

Negatives:
- Has been up for a long time.
- Has it run its race with a big run last time?

Rizzo Says:
Incredibly good form and has been running very very strongly. Should be there and about although I am not 100% convinced I would take the $3. Lay.

4. Secession - $8.50

Positives:
- Was fantastic first up when running on from midfield.
- Has nice breeding.
- Can race forward and back.

Negatives:
- 5L away from Beneteau.
- Does it have the class?

Rizzo Says:
This horse has what it takes to win. It will settle back again and run on strong. There should be good pace out front and that will allow this horse to storm home.

5. Bitofadude - $121

Positives:
- Beat Jasalah who ran a place in the preview.

Negatives:
- Serious class issue?

Rizzo Says:
Needs to improve a hell of a lot to win this one.

6. Spirit Cent - $121

Positives:
- Has run some OK places.

Negatives:
- Surely it isn't good enough for this.

Rizzo Says:
No chance.

8. Legalistic - $26

Positives:
- Massive win on debut.

Negatives:
- Unknown quantity.
- Well up in class.

Rizzo Says:
Think it would be pretty safe to leave this one out of the multiples.

9. She's Got Gears - $26

Positives:
- Has won over this distance.
- Good first up.
- Will be better for the last run.

Negatives:
- Wasn't that great last start.
- Form around these horses could be dodgy.

Rizzo Says:
Massive massive chance for me. Was ok first up despite missing the kick and having to work hard. $26 is over and I will have a little tickle on this for value.

10. Sweat Cheeks - $26

Positives:
- Settles out back.
- Oliver
- Has some nice winning form.

Negatives:
- Struggled last start.
- Could be nearing end of campaign.

Rizzo Says:
I would be pretty content to pass. First two races were good but the last start has made me turn away.

11. Crystal Lily - $8

Positives:
- Good win last start.
- Has showed it can kick.
- Will settle in the first few and get a good sit

Negatives:
- Barrier 11 a little tricky?

Rizzo Says:
Very strong chance to win this. Symons will give her a gun ride. Would not shock.

12. Roulettes - $41

Positives:
- None?

Negatives:
- Has not really been near it in quality races.
- Might struggle to keep up.

Rizzo Says:
Don't think it can win.

13. Psychologist - $7

Positives:
- Is at $7
- Was hardly touched in the straight and still dominated.
- Great start to her career.

Negatives:
- Could struggle second up.
- May find it hard to get past Beneteau

Rizzo Says:
At $7 you would be silly not to have a little on it. Very very good odds.

14. Shaaheq - $12

Positives:
- Has form around two of my main chances.
- Runs on very strongly.
- Hayes

Negatives:
- Three seconds... Can it win?
- $12 might be a bit short.

Rizzo Says:
Nice light weight chance and you can never be sure with Hayes. I would be very surprised, but I would not put it past it.

15. Evidentia - $21

Positives:
- Massive win in Adelaide.
- Solid in first Melbourne start.
- Brett Prebble from Hong Kong.

Negatives:
- Might find some trouble.
- Barrier 7 Might be a touch tricky.

Rizzo Says:
Excellent chance with Prebble and the light weight. Will take it right up to this bunch.

16. Willow Creek - $19

Positives:
- None?
Negatives:
- Didn't beat a $121 - 1 who is in this race by much.
- Serious unders.

Rizzo Says:
Don't think Willow Creek is much of a chance.

Best Bet:
9. She's Got Gears - $26
This is a good race for her and I would dare say that her whole prep has been set for this race. A few gear changes will have her more switched on. She would have been much closer if she jumped last start so she has a lot of improvement in her. Her liking for this distance and the good win at her first start has me hopeful that she will run a very good race.

Best Lay:
3. Beneteau - $3
I'm not 100% sure he has what it takes to win. It was a brilliant run, but I fear that is the best we will see him this prep. He is a serious chance to run into the places, but I can't see him getting the win. Have a shot at the lay and pick up some money.

Best Roughie:
5. Bit Of A Dude - $121
I don't think it warrants such silly odds and is a serious top 3 chance. I don't think it can win, but maybe put a sly few $ each way and hope it gets a nice untouched run. It's win in Adelaide was enough to show it has the potential to run a place here and it's last start wasn't disgraceful. Don't wipe it out.
